Only what the forms on this site actually ask for: your name, mobile number and email address, the destination you are interested in, roughly when you want to travel, how many adults and children are coming, and anything you choose to write in the notes box. If you enquire about a specific package, we record which one.

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, passport number, government identification numbers, card or bank details through this website. Where a booking later needs identification documents, we collect those directly, over a channel we agree with you, and not through this site.

To answer your enquiry, to price and plan the trip you asked about, and to arrange it if you decide to go ahead. That is the whole of it. The lawful basis is your own request: you sent us an enquiry so that we would reply to it.

Your enquiry is emailed to our planning desk and recorded in a private spreadsheet in our Google Workspace account, with a mirrored copy on our own hosting so that nothing is lost if one of those is unavailable. Both are restricted to our team.

We do not sell your details, rent them, or pass them to anyone outside Explore Karo, with one exception: when you confirm a trip, we share what a supplier needs in order to deliver it — a hotel needs the names of the guests staying, a transport operator needs a contact number, a permit authority needs the details it requires by law. We share the minimum each one needs, and nothing beyond it.

Sending an enquiry does not sign you up to anything. We do not add enquirers to a mailing list. If we ever start one it will be opt-in, and every message will carry an unsubscribe link.

An enquiry that does not become a booking is kept for up to twenty-four months, so that we can pick up the thread if you come back to us, and is then deleted. Records relating to a confirmed trip are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them, and no longer.

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Fonts and photography are loaded from third-party services, which see your IP address in the ordinary course of serving a web request. The destination sound on our package pages is generated inside your own browser and sends nothing anywhere. If we add analytics or advertising tags in future, they will be listed in this section before they go live.

This site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection, are stored in access-controlled accounts, and the mirrored copy is protected by a shared secret held only on our own systems. No system is perfect, but we take the care a company holding this kind of information is expected to take.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info.explorekaro@gmail.com and we will action it and confirm when it is done. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, tell us and we will look at it again.

This website is meant for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Where children are travelling, we hold their details only as part of the adult booker's enquiry.

If what we do with your information changes, this page changes first. The version published here when you send an enquiry is the one that applies to it.
